A major of 27 units is required for the associate in science degree. Required core courses (15 units):
AJ 101 Administration of Justice System 3 units
AJ 102 Principles and Procedures of the Justice System 3 units
AJ 103 Concepts of Criminal Law 3 units
AJ 104 Legal Aspects of Evidence 3 units
AJ 105 Community Relations 3 units
     
  Plus a minimum of 12 units selected from the following*:   
AJ 111 Criminal Investigation 3 units
AJ 189 ABCD Independent Projects in Administration of Justice 1-3 units
AJ 301   3 units
AJ 302 Substantive Law 3 units
AJ 305 Police Patrol Procedures 3 units
AJ 306 Technical Police Report Writing 1.5 units
AJ 307 Narcotics Investigations 1.5 units
AJ 308 Drugs and Drug Dependency 1.5 units
AJ 315 Introduction of Criminology 3 units
     
  * Students are encouraged to discuss additional course choices with an academic counselor or the department chair to focus their work upon their area of interest
