Applied Social Sciences
The applied social sciences department serves the student body and the community by offering classes and workshops in the areas of general education, transfer education, and vocational education. The department consists of 6 disciplines, which include administration of justice, culinary arts, Culinology®, early childhood studies, family and consumer sciences, and human services.
The department offers degrees and/or certificates in the areas of culinary arts, early childhood studies, family and consumer sciences, human services, and social science. Additionally, child care is provided for students and staff at the Children's Center and at the Parent Participation Preschool, which are all part of the early childhood studies program.
