“Audition Techniques/The Business of Being an Actor” is taught by PCPA's Casting Director. During this course a student supported Actors Co-op brings in 15-20 artistic directors and casting directors to audition students for internships and employment as they leave the program. Numbers of students each year also transfer to prestigious BFA programs around the country, leaving PCPA with over 70 units of transferable credit.

PCPA also offers a summer company and acting internship program.

Technical Theatre

The immersive technical training with professional crafts persons along with the introduction of skills and techniques in stage management, scenic design artistry, music directing/conducting, carpentry, lighting, costume design, properties, and sound serve students as they head into a competitive marketplace. Internships in theatrical production are offered as an opportunity to enhance existing skills and add to a portfolio/resume through the participation and mentorship in a specific area of professional technical theatre production such as:

Stage management   Scenic design assistant
Scenic artist Music directing/conducting
Carpentry Lighting
Costume design  Properties
Sound
