Film & Video Production
Film and video production courses provide students with the necessary training to
become camera operators, sound recordists and video editors. Most of the courses are
transferrable to the UC and Cal State systems.
The Film and Video program at Allan Hancock Colleges affords students the opportunity
to study the discipline with courses in three core areas:
- Film/Video Production
- Film Studies
Students write, produce and edit narrative and documentary projects in a series of
courses designed to bring students from beginning through intermediate production
and post-production techniques.

When I joined MESA I found an atmosphere of very intelligent students, in which I have made friendships that are strengthened by our commitment to success. I am 31 years old and work full-time in order to support my growing family. Time management is vital to my success, and it has taken a while to find the right "recipe" of balance between school, work and family. MESA has given me important resources in the form of tutoring, access to potential internships, and help with the cost of books.
