New Student Orientation
Your success at Allan Hancock College is our primary goal. All new students are required
to attend the New Student Orientation. You will learn about:
- Student service programs such as: Counseling, Financial Aid, Tutoring and much more
- College success strategies
- Campus policies
Choose a Date
IMPORTANT: You are required to complete the online Admission Application prior to registering for the New Student Orientation. You will be given a student
identification #, also known as an H#.
July 22, 2-3 p.m. followed by AAW from 3-4 p.m.
July 23, 10-11 a.m. followed by AAW from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
July 29, 2-3 p.m. followed by AAW from 3-4 p.m.
July 30, 10-11 a.m. followed by AAW from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
AAWs are offered daily until July 31st on Mon/Wed from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Tue/Thurs from 3-4 p.m.
Students do not need to pre-register, though space in the room is limited to 25.

"Deciding to go back to school to learn English and obtain my GED has been one of the most important decisions I ever made. My credit ESL instructors guided and helped me to adjust to my new life as a student. They understood me as a student and as a person. Being a full-time worker, a full-time student, and a mother of three was not easy, but my instructors encouraged me to keep going. They spent time with me revising my writing and giving me feedback to improve my English, even after class time. They made me feel welcome and proud of being a student later in life. Now, I am a Hancock graduate with three AAs and am currently attending Cal Poly. I'm here because my instructors encouraged me to never give up.
