Cooperative Work Experience

The Cooperative Work Experience (CWE) Program offers students the opportunity to explore career paths and earn college credit for skills learned on the job. Students have access to current information about careers and available jobs as well as an opportunity to extend work place learning by defining measurable learning objectives. The success of the program is dependent upon support from the worksite supervisor, guidance from the assigned faculty, and the commitment of the student to complete the learning objectives. Students may earn credit for general or occupation related paid or volunteer work. A combined maximum of sixteen (16) units of Cooperative Work Experience credits may be earned.
