AHC Concert Band Presents Its Spring Concert May 10

7:30 p.m., First Baptist Church, Santa Maria

APRIL 18, 2014 -- The Allan Hancock College Concert Band will present its spring concert Saturday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. 

Featured numbers include:

  • “Dedicatory Overture” by Clifton Williams
  • “Danse Bacchanale,” from the Samson et Dalila opera, by Camille Saint-Saens, arranged by Leigh D Stieger
  • “Sea Songs” by Ralph Vaughan Williams
  • “Apollo: Myth and Legend” by Rob Romeyn
  • “Amparito Roca” by Jaime Texidor
  • “Festival of American Spirituals” arranged by Jerry Nowak
  • “Shufflin' Down to Memphis” by Bob Turner
  • “Selections from Cats” by Andrew Lloyd Webber, arranged by John Edmondson

The concert will be held at First Baptist Church, 2970 Santa Maria Way, in Santa Maria.  Tickets are $10 for the general public, $5 for seniors and AHC students, faculty and staff.
