Hancock Baseball Advances to Super Regionals

Bulldogs play Orange Coast on May 9.

MAY 5, 2014 -- Bulldog baseball is back in the Super Regionals.  The Allan Hancock College baseball team won twice last Saturday to upset Palomar, the No.4 seed in the Southern California Regional Playoffs, to advance into the second round for the first time since 2010.  The Bulldogs took the best-of-three-game series 2-1 to upset the Comets, who were also ranked No.19 in a national poll.

Hancock next travels to the top overall seed, Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, for a best-of-three-game series that opens Friday, May 9, at 2 p.m.  Orange Coast enters 29-9 overall and riding a 10-game winning streak.  The Bulldogs are 24-14-1.
