AHC Offers Roots of Pop, Rock, & Jazz Class in Lompoc

JULY 3, 2012 -- What does music really tell you about contemporary American culture?

Allan Hancock College offers a Roots of Pop, Rock and Jazz class at the Lompoc Valley Center on Monday evenings, August 20 – December 12, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in room 2-203.

This class covers a span of popular music styles from the British invasion of the ‘60s, ‘70s disco and alternative rock to digital technology, electronic dance and downloads.  Students trace the roots and special idiosyncrasies of popular music traditions from medieval Europe and Africa to the commercial and non-commercial world of today.

You might never listen to music in the same way again!

Register online now at www.hancockcollege.edu.  This is a three-unit class (MUS 104, CRN 20704) and is acceptable for UC and CSU credit.
