The Allan Hancock College Santa Ynez Valley Center on the Santa Ynez Valley High School campus is now located in building R on the east side of the high school off of north Refugio Road.

The newly expanded center features classrooms, including a computer lab, restroom facilities, and two offices. A full-time student services technician and an academic counselor are at the center to assist students and community members interested in registering for a class.

The college has offered classes in the Santa Ynez Valley for decades. Prior to opening the Santa Ynez Valley Center, Hancock offered classes at the Solvang Center since 2000.

The college’s Community Education program offers more than one dozen noncredit classes at the Santa Ynez Valley Center this fall. Noncredit classes start the week of August 20 and are free to the public (material and other fees may apply).

The college continues to offer credit and concurrent enrollment classes each semester at Santa Ynez Valley Union High School. Concurrent enrollment classes are free to high school students and allow students to earn both college and high school credit. The classes are taught by college-approved faculty at the high school during normal school hours.
