NOTE: Have you attended another college/university?  Students who have attended other accredited colleges/universities are required to submit all official transcripts to the Admissions and Records Office for an evaluation.  This also includes students that have Advanced Placement (AP), IB, CLEP, and military credit (Admissions and Records Office 1-805-922-6966 ext. 3248).

2

Apply for Financial Aid

3

Complete an Orientation

All new students are required to complete the online orientation. You will learn about student support services, college success tips, and other important "need to know" information.

You can access the online orientation through your myHancock portal.

For questions contact the Counseling Department 1-805-922-6966 ext. 3293.

4

Check your English and Math Placement

Your English and math skills will be assessed based off of your high school and/or official college transcripts as reported to the college via CCCApply or through previous courses taken at an accredited institution.

You may view your placement by logging onto your myHancock portal and clicking "English and Math Placement" under the "Registration" tab.

5

Attend an EPW

All new AHC students are required to attend an Education Planning Workshop.  At the workshop, you will meet with a counselor who will assist you in understanding your English and math placement, identify your academic goal, and help you develop a first year plan using Degree Works.
