Launch to Success: STEM Week of Discovery!
This four-day program will introduce interested students to a variety of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) majors, as well as provide hands-on activities related to these majors. Our main goal is to give students and introduction to the world of STEM while also making them aware of the services that can help them be successful college students. An introduction to STEM success strategies and student support services aid in a smooth transition to a four year university. This four-day interactive experience will help to build a strong network of peers, faculty, and staff that will connect students with academic resources and encouragement needed throughout their education at Allan Hancock College and beyond!

Friday Night Science
A family friendly event, sponsored by the HSI STEM & Articulation Grant, brings together the community and Allan Hancock College to learn and interact with scientific activities. Each event features different “learn-by-doing” science activities with varying themes. AHC STEM students design and build the demonstrations, as well as explain the scientific principles at work. The event is highly popular and is publicized in local media and is even featured on YouTube. For the most up-to-date information about this event, please refer to the website. We hope to see you there!

AHC STEM center is a focal point for student learning.  Located on the Santa Maria Campus, it provides students with a collaborative space which encourages student-to-student interaction.  Students can utilize free drop-in tutoring, study spaces, a large group study room, academic counseling, etc.
