Alex de Jounge, RN, MSN, PHN, Coordinator/Wellness Educator in the Allan Hancock College Health Center gives a detailed overview about health services available at the college 

In our continuing efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Student Health Services has transitioned to serving students in both in-person and virtual settings. 

College Health Services Include: 

  • Acupuncture and Massage Therapy: Virtual Visits Available At This Time
  • First aid and direct medical services for acute illnesses and injuries
  • Referral to low-cost clinics
  • Health counseling, education materials
  • Mental health counseling by appointment, including crisis, personal (short term), and appropriate referral to community resources
  • Assistance with student accident insurance claims/forms
  • Tuberculosis screening
  • Self-care center stocked with over-the-counter medications: Order form available on main page
  • Alcohol & drug abuse prevention
  • Alcohol, tobacco, and other drug information
  • Depression screening
  • Eating disorder information and screening
  • Healthy living tips
  • Nutrition
  • Women’s health information
  • Family Planning 
  • Stress management 
  • Vision and hearing screening
