Explore Various Foods and Preparations in Hancock's Saturday Cooking Classes
Students will learn how to make healthy meals in 30 minutes, or how to prepare Thai food.
Looking for quick and easy ways to include healthy foods into your diet? Learn how
to prepare food that is good for you by using techniques that can cut preparation
time and calories. Register for the Healthy Meals in 30 Minutes cooking class offered through Allan Hancock College’s Community Education. You will
learn how to create great flavors and thoughtful food presentation through time-saving
methods like microwaving, batch cooking and portion freezing. The class meets on Saturday,
April 11 and 18, from 10 a.m. - 1:55 p.m. on the AHC Santa Maria campus, Room I-216.
A $25 materials fee is required. The course number (CRN) is 41693.
If international cuisine is more your style, learn to cook and explore Thai foods
in the Cultural Aspects of Food class. Discover the nutritional significance of food customs while also preparing
and sampling these authentic and savory dishes. This class meets Saturday, May 9 and
16, from 10 a.m. - 1:55 p.m. in Room I – 216. A $25 materials fee is also required.
