Outreach by Allan Hancock College

At Allan Hancock College you can Start Here, Go Anywhere! The Outreach Department is here to promote the possibilities available to the community through Allan Hancock College. With four campus locations in Northern Santa Barbara County, the college offers opportunities for those who want to begin a bachelor's degree (university degree), earn an associates degree (two-year degree), prepare for a career or upgrade skills. The mission of the outreach department is to share the opportunities available through Allan Hancock College with the community.

Our department offers a wide variety of opportunities for you as a community member to learn about what AHC can do for you.

Bulldog Bound focuses on creating a college-going culture among fifth- through eighth- grade students and their families. The program introduces them to Allan Hancock College, the campus, and the programs and services available through early outreach events.

Bulldog Bound is the first phase of The Hancock Promise, which is aimed at placing higher education within everyone’s reach. The Promise removes financial barriers and creates pathways to increase college readiness, access, affordability, and success for all students in the Allan Hancock Joint Community College District.

Students and their families will be invited to attend various events on Hancock’s locations in Santa Maria, Lompoc, Vandenberg Space Force Base, and Santa Ynez.

The Outreach Department attends local Career Fair, College Night or community events to promote the opportunities available at AHC to high school students, parents, faculty and the community.

If you have an event coming up and would like to have a Hancock information booth and staff there to share information about the college, please contact the Student Activities and Outreach department at outreach@hancockcollege.edu with your request.  Please make requests a minimum of two weeks in advance.

The Allan Hancock College Student Ambassador program recruits qualified students to represent Allan Hancock College in a number of initiatives, serving as role models and mentors to all students.  This group of highly qualified students frequently represents the college in outreach efforts  and assists in promoting the image of Allan Hancock College.
